In December they gave me a fancy new laptop

This morning I woke up to emails

seems they finally got around to signing us up for a google group.

P.S.
The CR-48 ChromeOS laptop is pretty swanky, my only problem with it is the lack of support for networks that use security certificates.

It's a netbook. Runs an Atom CPU, and all that nonsense. It's about as fast as you'd expect of a netbook, except with god awful flash performance (even for a netbook).

I'll have to read up on it.

I'm guessing its more about the internet-only software than the hardware itself. I mean, netbooks these days are cheap. So are they trying to create a dirt cheap(er) netbook whos abilities are internet-reliant, thus bypassing the need to pay for licenses and such?

I didn't even bother requesting one of these, cause the cloud OS idea doesn't appeal to me at all, and I already have too many computers taking up space in my house as it is.
