Fortunately there are vaccines for most of the strains which you should look into soonest:

They won't 'cure' you if you've already got one, but it will protect from getting new strains at least.
Also most strains just go away on their own after a while without causing any problems or exhibiting any symptoms.
It's also exceedingly common. There's about a 50% chance you or your partner will get it at some point in your lives without ever realizing it.

Probably the best things you can do other than get vaccinated are: use a condom, and don't smoke.
