Anonymous is a bigger trolling group than Westboro.

However, it's always fun to watch real life trolling where one side remains calm and relatively professional. I found this entertaining, it's not a plug for either side.

Oh it's supremely amusing. I'm hoping Westboro goes after them as much as they can, because it's going to cost Westboro so much time and money for relatively little, to no benefit. Sure they're getting publicity, but at least this time it's amusing publicity, instead of some funeral protest. The more time they invest in trolling/fighting with Anonymous is less time spent doing actual harm to regular people.

Anonymous is great. Whether you agree or disagree with their message, methods and origin, they have some outstandingly talented people. Most of them just run LOIC, though.

I've posted it before: the WBC is a big scam. Their terrible, hate-filled rhetoric and inappropriate public behavior is carefully-designed to attract violent reprisals. When it inevitably does, they sue individuals, states and police forces for infringing upon or failing to protect their right to free speech. They literally profit by eroding the values upon which America was founded. (Edit: Similarly, it's only a church because churches don't have to pay taxes. The entire extended Phelps family declared all of their homes to be churches.)

WBC created the fake letter specifically to goad Anonymous into attacking them, so they could grab IP addresses from the less-gifted members and eventually sue them. WBC has no intention of starting a protracted legal fight over spurious evidence. They are all lawyers, and they know exactly how much it will cost versus how much they stand to gain.

But what was more amusing was the lady telling anon that their websites can't be touched (even though at the time they had been and were down), then in response anon hacks the site right then and tells her over the air. Golden.

Which is the amusing part, since if that Anonymous representative was telling the truth and the previous DDOS attacks weren't really anonymous (although it is quite possible that it was), then they're up a creek without a paddle. The ones who did the actual hacking attack on the site should be smart enough to have avoided being traced via IP.

That was just annoying.

I don't get it, how can you assume that any individual saying anything on the internet is part of any organization (I use that term loosely as anonymous 'membership' is always changing as people start/stop giving a **** frequently).
