That's not Eddie Van Halen.

This is Eddie Van Halen.

Well you see, it's funny because Lil Wayne is a RAPPER so clearly he shouldnt be playing guitar. The joke here is that he's most definitely not Eddie Van Halen. GET IT???

Watching Van Halen play is seriously awesome, but at the same time is sort of depressing when I think about trying to learn to play as well. On the other hand, I bet I could play better than Lil Wayne at least.

Can someone musically savvy explain why Van Halen would play on the neck of the guitar sometimes instead?
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

The finger tapping you mean? It's basically a way to create a set of notes with no silence between each note. The fancypants term for it is legato.

Finger tapping also lets you get a wider range of notes than normally possible with just picking. For example you could have one finger tapping the second fret while your other hand is tapping the 17th.

It helps a bit when the instrument you're using is audible is some form or fashion.

I bet it was intentional, because if you could have heard it, it would have sounded terrible, like everything else that emanates from Lil Wayne.

No one's to blame, he can't play, so they just leave him unplugged on purpose...

The times they actually decide to plug him in though... my god...

Agreed. I still own a copy of Razorblade Suitcase, and I will fight anyone who claims the guitar on it is no better than this. :p

I listen to eazy-e :colbert:

Really though I came to this thread to bash Eddie van halen. I was going to allude to me tapping a guitar with my wiener and ending in saying that he is overrated and Jimmy Page is better (which he is).

Yet, I had no idea that I would be confronted with Fred eating a jizzed on biscuit Durst. I hate that guy more than I hate Canadians. How was that ever considered music? Its all because of rap. That's my scapegoat. Africa. Home and birthplace of lil wayne (needs citation). I am indignant to find how many teenage white girls love this abomination of a human. He looks like a black phantom of the oprah, that had endured prison rape.

How dare I poke fun at Eddie van halen (I still like the first cd anyway), when there are abortions in music such as this. I hate so much music its not even funny. That's why you stick with classics. I like Pink Floyd, The Doors, Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Vaguer, Die Fledermaus, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, hell i even like 30's and 40's show-tunes! The only new music I like are bands like Say Anything and Brand New, yet everything else it seems has NO substance whatsoever. It kills me what kids think is good now. I'm 21 and everyone at my school is slave to this rancid music trend: liking ****.

I'm sorry, but I HAD to post this.

Yeah, I cannot imagine a more ignorant human being. He must have never even seen a guitar in real-life till they threw that $1000 fender on him. Talk about not doing ANY research. IN addition the only words I heard him say thought the video were, "Put your mother-****ing hands in the air!"

Talk about the product of stupid white people. And yes, this is your fault. Do not deny it. This is what your teenage daughter is doing on the Internet. Buying Lil Wiener albums off iTunes. That's what all these seemingly "gangster" white kids want. You should have raised your kid better. Thought some values or something, instead of throwing them a wad of cash and saying, "Keep yourself busy." Furthermore, every black person that i know considers this travesty an insult to their entire race. (Yeah even more than Michel Jackson and O.J.)
