Crysis 2 MP Demo (available on Steam)

I just spent a little over two hours with it and I have to say it's flippity ****ing awesome.

I shared the concerns of some people regarding it's "consolization" but the alterations and additions to the suit abilities only make it easier to pull off awesome moves. Although I feel like there's much less need to manage suit energy. You can pretty much turn on cloak, speed-sprint across a clearing then super-jump up a ledge and still have enough energy left to stay cloaked long enough to sneak up on someone. But it still keeps everything nicely balanced, so even when you're power-boosting around like a boss it doesn't feel like easy-mode.

Other things to note:
Four pre-set loadouts to play in MP. Assault, Scout, Sniper and whatever they called the equivalent of Heavy. No specific class types. Can build custom mix-and-match loadouts (stealth perks + heavy machine gun is kind of game breaking, yes.)
Health bar is gone, replaced with COD-style blood-splattered HUD and regenerating health.
Visuals look positively fantastic and it runs really well.
Movement is fluid and using the suit powers is super easy.
HUD bobs around a hellova lot, but I think I saw something in the options to adjust this (slide-bar control.)
Team balancing seems broken (as in, it never seemed to balance any matches ever.)
There is a 'Kill Replay' each time you die, showing the last few seconds before your demise (really cool for "How the **** did that happen?" moments.)

All things considered I think the multiplayer is solid and I'm looking forward to release day.

Oh so it's Call of Crysis. I mean, clearly those features are successful otherwise everyone wouldn't be ripping them off, but it's hard to find any distinguishing features in multiplayer shooting anymore.

I still might check it out.

"Multiplayer shooting games" typically involve shooting and more shooting.

I will probably ending up buying it just for the single player. The fact everyone's calling it a Call of Duty clone doesnt bother me, as long as the single player story is good.
My favorite JKDF2 h4x:
EAH XMAS v2
MANIPULATOR GUN
EAH SMOOTH SNIPER

I really liked it, the suit powers work very well in MP and the weapons feel very balanced.
I didn't care at all about this game until I played the leak, which totally sold me on it.

It's going to have a Crysis Wars esque MP mode right?

Did the beta have anything multi-related in the options? If the demo is anything to go by it'll probably be a similar arrangement to Warhead/Wars.

The multiplayer is definately uninspired but that doesn't mean it's not fun. Although it would have been awesome to have proper classes so there'd actually be some incentive for teamwork. More than 12 players per game would also be nice.

Beta multi is locked out, it requires internet authentication and there is no-way im putting any info in it.

After playing quite a bit, I really have to say I enjoy it. The powers really add a lot to the experience, even if it is mostly CoD. I have gotten pretty good at it too and can maintain a 40/2 kdr if I'm in a good mood, 20/1 when I'm not. I think if I could get a scavenger perk I'd be even more deadly with the nades. I'm considering pre-ordering the game, but I'm weary that the multiplayer won't be picked up by many people.
