I was about 20 down, 5 up.. but I'm also streaming netflix on another computer, playing WoW on this one, and my wife's playing something on her laptop. So it'd probably be a little better if I shut that stuff down.

I'd post mine but thus far the stupid site hasn't given me one even remotely accurate test result. New UI may be less resource intensive, but it's goddamn useless. Every time I test, it starts going correctly, then the download "pauses" and about 20 seconds later, it immediately finishes, giving a result that is WAY higher than reality.

Edit: So I've tested it about 5 more times in the last few minutes and gotten results between 8 and 16 down.

Tried again with netflix off, WoW still running. down didn't change, but up went up about 2 megs, so around 7 now.. Seems weird to me. I wouldn't think upload bandwidth would be affected much by watching a netflix movie. Anyone care to comment?

I don't know about Netflix, but if WoW is seeding a patch you might be uploading it in the background to peers.

And the test is still screwing up for me. If I were to post the results, I'd end up with a download speed that is twice as high as even Darth's, which I know damn well isn't right.

I've had the same cable connection for ~6 years straight now. I know download speed is the major selling point, but I'm still surprised how many people have < 1Mb/s upload. Obviously thats plenty for most people, just an interesting observation. I remember hearing about a Satellite ISP where the upload portion of your bandwidth was 56k modem, and then the satellite would send the download portion to your dish. I wonder if eventually we will see cable offerings of 100Mb/1Mb or greater.

Not me, it makes me sick. Unfortunately I cannot get a better service that provides better upload.

This is meant to be up to 12 Mb/s. But it's quite cheap and Be don't throttle their connections.

I tested this at work and got about 60Mb/30Mb

The new (faster) test seems a little sporadic. 50% of the time I get 30, one time I got 5 and another I got 16 :-\ All within minutes of one another.
