Just picked this up off 4chan . Biography of Marcia Lucas, wife to George Lucas, 1969-1983. Talks about her involvement and influence on George Lucas' films, career and demise journey toward Greedo shot first I hate sand fat crazy grey beardness creating the Star Wars industry we know today. Pretty interesting stuff, if you're into that sort of thing.

It has certainly added a new dimension to how I understand Star Wars from the personal standpoint. I never even realised she was an editor, and I've seen most of the movies she worked on.

Yeah, I've watched "Empire of Dreams" a million times and she is only offhandedly mentioned once or twice, never putting the situation under close scrutiny. I've always thought that she had something going on with Scorsese. His boyish good looks must have been a comfort when they were stuck in the same room alone together for endless hours. After reading the article I'm curious to hear more from Spielberg about the aftermath of the divorce during the Indy Films.

Its funny that someone was compelled to get to the bottom of this story though. That site was really in depth, and if you click on the book link, you can read the first 100 pages for free. It is pretty interesting stuff.

I also find it funny that the guy she left Lucas for left her eventually. Hahaha (Well they divorced and she said, "he turned out to be a bit of a scoundrel." )

My Response? "there aren't enough scoundrels in your life"

She was quite a cutie for sure.

And I think his creative output suggests he may never have recovered from that divorce. [/rampant and unwarranted speculation]

Maybe she was always the talented one, so George wasn't left much to work with...
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

That was my first thought, but...

I guess that's certainly a possibility. I didn't really get THX 1138 either past it being novel (in a contrived sort of way) and cool looking.
