I had to make the hardest decision of my life today. My old cat, who was nearing her 16th birthday, has been fighting a hard battle with chronic renal failure. In the last three weeks I've seen her health sharply decline.

Today was the day I decided that she shouldn't have to suffer any more because of my selfishness.

I feel like garbage.

I'm a cat person myself. We let our cat die of old age but we were literally paying vet bills up the wazoo (by we, I mean, my parents were paying for it), giving it intrevenous (sp) fluids every day. he died at 22.
