**** my life. I was searching for MW1 on the XBOX 360 when I ended up in hacked lobby that assigns huge negative XP to all the players in the game. Now I can't join any games at all. After googling, it is revealed that this problem is widespread, and affects both MW1, MW2, and Black Ops on the PS3, 360, and PC.

Tech support calls to Microsoft. It's not our servers. Not our problem.
Numerous tech support calls to Activision. "We're aware of the problem". **** YOU. "We have no control over the servers".

I think it's such bull**** that the companies that sell and purportedly support these games are refusing to provide any sort of technical assistance. This is a problem that could easily affect every single person that plays these games.

Worst customer service experience of all time.

I could just make a new live account and probably play again, but I don't want to pay for a new subscription....

They don't support them because they want you to stop playing MW1 and buy the newest one instead.

i popped in CoD:WaW and last time i played i had the M1A1 unlocked (that gamestop preorder bonus thing) now for no good reason the damn thing is locked again

nowhere near as bad as "****ed over on being able to play all together" but still an annoyance...

and JM yes they want everyone to buy the new game but apparently the new game is also affected and the company probably gives the same answer

I finally caved and bought Black Ops for PC after playing it on my friend's PS3, and I have to say for a game that popular and heavily played, it is one buggy, poorly implemented piece of software. The bugs are so strange, inconsistent, and easy to fix with a single patch.

I actually broke out CoD4MW1 the other day, kinda glad I didn't experience that problem you did... That is a bit ridiculous and I'd be pretty mad myself

If a sever can decrease your xp, surely you can find server that is hacked to raised it.

Solution: play more fps on PC.

I kind of realized after I said that what it looked like I meant. I mean that the kinds of things that are broken seem trivial in comparison to what is accomplished. Where one thing works well, another thing that would seem easy is left broken. I still don't really have a good example for some reason, but as I play I'll try to note anything specific.

Oh, a minor detail, but the filter selector has arrows on it but is actually a linear selector that you have to click all the way through to select a game type. Wager match game types aren't organized at all, like they are on the Playstation and I imagine the X-box. The 2 different keys for duck and prone bothers me, I wish it was toggle duck with hold duck to crouch. Sometimes rockets are absurd and stupid.

What's that, Activision gives no ****s about it's customers?
