PS3 RPGs?
2011-03-15, 3:39 PM #1
So I'm thinking in a month or so after I move next I want to pick up a PS3. Looking for suggestions for good titles to pick up.

Any sort of cooperative RPG [or co-op in general] would be neat, but I'm also open to eg Assassin's Creed or such as well. Just not like.. Halo, or whatever its PS3 alternative is.

Any necessary games?

Borderlands is fun with someone, although it is kind of Halo-y.

It's good for streaming netflix and maybe watching blurays as long as you don't mind the bd discs phoning home (or being prompted every ****ing time you play a movie).

I only have a few PS3 games and I can't recommend any of them. We use ours as a HTPC, basically. Netflix, Blurays, playing video off of a file server.

I basically played the hell out of that and the expansions on the PC with Flirb already..

Jon`c hmm, I just plain have a media pc, and a PS2 if I ever want to watch a DVD. Not encouraging I guess.

The Scott Pilgrim downloadable game was a TON of fun. It was a great throwback to the SNES days.

If you get it, be sure to unlock the Zombie level and the secret shop in Level 1 part 2.

a $30 DVD player would be better than a PS2

anyway the only RPG type game i played on PS3 was a hack & slash style RPG (Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom) and my recommendation with that game is to never play it... the PSP games in the series are solid games the PS3 version is dumbed down and just terrible

the best PS3 exclusive non-fps games would be the Uncharted series

Mass Effect 2 for PS3 is out if you've never played it before

This. Although I've not played the second, I thoroughly enjoyed the first.

Huh! Reading through the description for Uncharted 2 I was so not expecting it to include "Marco Polo" and "Shambhala". o.O I approve.
