I was approaching an intersection going the speed limit which is about 45 mph. There was 2 vehicles positioned in the opposite lane, turning left at the traffic light, which may have just changed to yellow. The first was a big SUV, they turned in front of me but there was no danger of me colliding with them. The 2nd was a ford truck and they also went through the light and at that point there was no where for me to go. The ford truck turned right into me. Moments before impact I steered right to try to avoid collision but it was inevitable. The car spun the opposite direction towards on coming traffic but I was able to steer into the spin and regain control to bring the car to a stop. The other driver was at fault.

I wasn't hurt, I think that has to do with the fact that I didn't tense up and maintained calmness and awareness. I will probably be a little sore tomorrow and I'm still picking glass out of my hair.

Let me clarify -- I HATE the wheels on it now. I know, they are hideous. When I can sell these godforsaken things, I plan to get a nice set of CCW Classics for her. Also rolling back to stock bumper when those CCW's come in. The Cervinis one was only temporary anyway and was given to me pretty much for free, the original stock bumper was in poor condition. Its my dream to one day get a turbo kit going on her. (single or TT, whichever I have cash for at the time)

It's dark & I'm flying out of the country today so I can't take a photo but here's one from an image search. It's a 2009 Toyota Yaris & we're about to sell it before we move to France. I just sold my 1993 Mazda Protege to a friend of mine a few weeks ago.

I eat those on a regular basis :P however to be fair, I am far from stock. I don't like to street race as much as I did when I was younger though. The older I got the more i started to understand the repercussions. If a little ricer wants to gun it to 45 at a light ill give him a nice smokeshow though. ;) I do have a strong respect for well built coffecan-less tuners like JLees though.

Was, I go back and forth between that and Boston. There's one that is very similar to mine though. His name is Dan. He's got Saleen wheels which I want to steal and put on mine. Also I've owned that car for years so I apologize for any inherent douchebaggery you m/ay have witnessed when I was younger.

I have the same car except it's 2000, red and is the SL1 model, which is SOHC. It's a pile of crap, but I'm hoping to get a bike some point soon.

An old Ford Fiesta I bought two years ago, me and some friends have been doing it up but progress has halted due to cashflow issues. It's eventually going to be black with white wheels. I've got some brand new lexus rear lights, front spotlights and a bumper kit ready to stick on it.

I like old(ish) cars. New stuff is ugly (not just saying that because I'm poor).
