I know, I'm 22 and haven't been paint-balling ever. What is my life?

Anyway, I'm planning on wearing a t-shirt with a hoody (and then provided GEAR will go over it) and some walking pants, with hiking boots. Will that be OK?

I'm after some tips so I don't look like a goit when I'm out there. So spread your wisdom Massassi!

Seeing as you're a fellow Brit, barely anyone in this country knows how to aim. Simply knowing to stand side-on to the gun and look down the barrel will make you 10x more accurate than the rest (not that that stops the balls curving off in funny directions).

And you will probably boil under all those layers! It's not as painful as you might think unless you get it in the nads.

Otherwise, have fun and you'll figure the rest out :D

...oh and don't get too trigger happy or it gets expensive fast!

Wear shirt and shorts. You'll just sweat your balls off wearing all that.
are you playing out in the woods or air ball?

I don't know what the weather is like out there, but I was at an airsoft game last Sunday and I was wearing Underarmor ColdGear under my DCU's and tac vest and if I wasn't moving around, I started to get cold.

Then again, it was about 50 degrees and wet :P

Awesome suit man.

Ok, so stand sideways and aim. I get that :)

I've watched loads of youtube videos from expertvillage on how to do some stuff. I guess I'll just get out there though and work most of it out. I'm pretty scared about being shot in the nads... and I have that episode of Byker Grove in my mind where Ant gets blinded. That's a reference nobody will get.

I'll have to rethink what I'm wearing now!

go shirtless and wear only boxers. Run through the field screaming like a banshee. <.< >.>
I can't wait for the day schools get the money they need, and the military has to hold bake sales to afford bombs.

I'd say that I get it but I think I count as a nobody here!

Just dress comfortably according to weather, don't worry about wearing extra layers for protection. One layer is more than enough, you can play in shorts and tshirt. I wear a jock, and sometimes undersized shin/knee pads for all the kneeling and sliding.

Theres only a few places that it really smarts to get hit. Hands are one of them, some biking gloves are nice for that.

If you are going with a good group to a good field, prepare for an incredibly fun and expensive experience.

Why don't you just wear a male athletic support?

Not sure boots are the best, I was always more comfortable in a sturdy pair of running shoes.

Get a ghillie suit.

You'll blend right in with all that red paint all over you.

"nothing suspicious here, just a walking tree with red paint on it."

I've since been and returned. They made us wear overalls so my clothes were fine - and running shoes were a good choice.

There were six areas but all were quite small really, so from the off you were being shot as there were 20 people on each side on an area about 100m by 40m in some areas. That was pretty lethal. Straight away before you ever had a chance to move you were being shot at, which was ridiculous. All strategy went out of the window early on, as people were cheating and such. People were firing at people from the dead zone. I shot one guy five times and he kept shooting me, and then so did another guy, who got really angry with him and shot him at point blank range (and subsequently almost got banned). Highlight of the day was either running Rambo style into enemy territory and picking three off in two seconds (before getting shot), or trying to do the same but then running out of ammo, which led to a cowardly run back to cover with everyone laughing (the "Eat this!" didn't help). But yeah bar the blatant cheating it was a good experience. Expensive as hell though...

I prefer shirtless airsoft with ski goggles for the eyes.

I got hit in the shoulder once, and it managed to hit a nerve. My arm was numb for a couple of days... I can still feel it if I think about it.

**** I'm on my phone now just had a big post and lost it. Yea ballers love to cheat. I was good enough to compete in the national tournaments but too much drama was going on

Sucks about the cheating, I've actually never been to a place that tolerated that at all. The place I go to most often, if they catch you overshooting they give you a warning, and next time you're out. They have enough refs and if you think you hit someone you can always call a paint check on them. The only time I've ever seen people not call themselves out is when they honestly didn't feel it (mostly foot shots or people that wear armor) and sometimes when they're not sure whether it was a direct hit or spray.

Play more speedball. That seems to be the point of the game now.

As a side note, I wear cleats when I play instead of running shoes.

I think I've got a taste for it now.

I was watching videos of US paintball headcams on youtube, with massive forrests as your gaming zones. I'm going to see if there's any like that over here.

I tend to play woodsball and play in BDUs even in summer. Cheating at my home fields was never an issue, only had one instance that I can remember where someone was asked to leave.
