When there's no more room in Hell, they post on Massassi, here in...

Thread of the Living Dead!

Objective: For the few survivors, survive for 6 whole days. For the rest, eat their braaaaaaaaiiiins...

How to Play:

Before the game starts, we'll need 3 people to play the survivors (I can raise this number if this game looks to be super-popular before it starts). Everyone else will play a zombie (at least 2, but the more the better), and they can join at any point in the game.

For the zombies, it won't be easy to take down a survivor. You must post three times to shamble towards them, only able to leap at one of the survivors on your third post and successfully bite them with another zombie leaping on them. If you are killed, you must make another post stating that you (as a new zombie) rise from the dead before shambling towards the survivors again. No zombie can post twice in a row. You must rely on your numbers and persistence to succeed.

For the survivors, it'll be easy to take down any one zombie, but can you hold off against the mindless masses? You can kill any one zombie per post you make who is shambling for survivor brains. When they first shamble, they are some distance away still, so you need to wait several moments (6 hours in real-time) to line up your shot properly. Their second shamble, you only need a moment (1 hour real time) to line up your shot, but on their third post, they are on top of you, and you have to post as soon as you can to push them away, after which you need a moment (1 hour real time) if you wish to shoot them. Should more than one zombie manage to jump you, though, you will die and become a zombie yourself. A survivor can post as many times in a row as they wish, so long as they follow the noted rules. You must rely on your vigilance to survive.

Questions, comments, criticisms, and the like before the game starts are welcomed! The game will start once we get at least 3 players ready to survive the onslaught. I'll be playing as one of the zombies.

I'm debating whether I want to try to start a new thread with the same zombie premise but with different, far simpler rules. A bad sequel to a worse original, as it were. Mostly the debate is just whether I want to appeal to my laziness or not.

If I do go for it, expect to see Dead Thread: Thread of the Living Dead II hit box offices soon!

Please do, now that I've actually read the rules, I want to play! I can't commit to being a survivor though as I'll be afk for long stretches in the next week, but I'm up for a few shambling attacks

I went ahead and started a new thread, though in theory, there's no reason why both can't be running at the same time.
