my band just put out a new 2 song EP and im going to do a little shameless self promotion!

its titled 'The Persistence of Vermin'
and the two tracks are:

i play drums.
this is the first album weve done that we have done all ourselves. we have our own studio so we recorded, mixed and mastered the whole thing.

funny enough we dont really play a lot of metal sounding stuff. mainly we play punk mixed with industrialish stuff...sort of. but there are some metal influences, more so in our older stuff.

lol, usually we will press 1000 at a time. this time we only did a small run of 100, we are going to mainly have it available to buy online... or if i figure out how to make it downloadable ill just make it available for free.

i just got my copy last night though so the music is not online yet.

These are really nice, thanks for sharing! I'm a sucker for metal that combines rough and clean vocals.
Edit: the bit on Track 1 starting at 3:04 reminds me a /lot/ of Elvenking. This is a good thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kqDfDu_0mA

I didnt even realize cd baby was still around. Also seriously: Try using Bandcamp. It's so simple to set up and track stats on your songs

I set up an account last night, however when it comes to audio files I am a noob.
Bandcamp won't let me upload mp3 files which is the format the songs are in, anyone know an easy way to convert them to a different file type?

They dont let you upload mp3 because of how they do things. You need to upload the lossless file so they can serve up whatever file format the customer desires. If you have the original FLAC or WAV files, upload those. Don't convert an MP3.

Lol, our singer has the original files and he just left for basic training. I may be able to get them in 6 months or so... :(

Unless he's burning the MP3s to CD in the first place. In which case, don't even bother, and just open them in Audacity and save as WAV. Sure it won't be as good as those originals, but :/

I can't say I'm particularly fond of the singer's style, but regardless, I am extremely impressed. I like it.
