Community Project?

Hi All, I know recently there has been some discussion about community activities (such as the forum games being put together by Geb) to enhance the community experience here. I feel these are great activities, and would like to propose my own, if there is enough interest.

To begin, how many of you are familiar with the Star Wars Radio Plays that were made for the original trilogy? These are excellent productions and really work well to expand the narrative of the original Star Wars saga.

Unfortunately there are no plans to produce a radio adaptation of the prequel trilogy, which is most unfortunate, because while the storyline of the prequel trilogy is great, the character development leaves a lot to be desired. A radio adaptation could have been a fantastic way to provide focus on characters as well as story.

Who here would be interested in providing voicework for something like this? I have the technical know-how to write and produce the series, but unfortunately I can't voice the entire thing myself. I know in the glory days of JK editing there was a great deal of fantastic voice talent on the forums, and I know there are quite a few of you still around.

That's my proposal! I think this could be a fun way to provide some more entertainment to the community.

Honestly, I'd rather see a radio dramatization of a new story in the Star Wars universe (fan fiction) than one of the prequel trilogy.

Or even one of the expanded universe novels. I would be TOTALLY interested in the Thrawn trilogy, by far.

The Thrawn Trilogy is a great idea! I would love to adapt that into a dramatization. Do you think we can get enough community support for the project to have a chance?

Anybody want to submit their vocal talents to try out for the main characters?

Luke, Leia, Han, 3PO, Thrawn, Mara Jade, etc?

This gives me an excuse to read the trilogy again as well! :neckbeard:

I try. I'm debating whether I should try to just bring back some of the older games or not, considering I've had less luck with my more recent ones.

As for a radio dramatization, I too favor something original done by the Massassians. Sadly, my voice acting/quality sucks, so I couldn't contribute anything on that end.
