Not only was that the 9/10 interior, it also clearly had someone regenerating in it. And glancing around... that wasn't 10's regeneration into 11, and it wasn't 9's regneration into ten... it looked even more apocalyptic than 10's, even... which really only leaves one option :o

-Of course, that's... not really likely, let's be honest, but wouldn't it be cool?

Is there some way Americans are watching the newest season that I don't know about? It hasn't come out on Netflix.

Or Torchwood? I am out of the loop.

Not legally.

-Actually, I haven't watched an episode of Doctor Who in a long ass time, other stuff sorta came up. I'll have to get some DVDs sometime and marathon it.

Or it's another Timelord which is most likely seeing how I'm expecting River to turn out to be The Rani.
nope.

Season 6 only has the Christmas Special released so far. Regular episodes aren't even out yet at all.

Season 5 is out on discs through Netflix, I know that much

Youtube has been really annoying on my computer lately. Sometimes it'll work fine, and sometimes I have to try 3 or 4... or 12 times :(

EDIT: finally saw it. PSYCHED FOR THE NEW SERIES!!
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

I've never watched a single episode of Dr. Who. I'd like to get into the series... where should I start?

I prefer seasons 2 through 4, aka, the stuff starring David Tennant. The show follows a loose enough plot line that you can pretty much pick any episode and go from there. Start with some of that and see if you like it. Each 'Doctor' acts differently, so pick and choose.

Side note: theres a huge ass amount of Doctor Who beyond the New Series, I'd say stick with the new until you're comfortable with it.

Chris Eccelston was given much better plots than a lot of Tennant's stuff, series 2 is probably the best of Tennant and I think I prefer Matt Smith to both of them. :P
nope.

I've managed to corner Free long enough to make him watch some of the stuff with Tennant (as much as could be had free online). I'm -that- close to just getting a boxed set, if I can find one, so I don't have to screw with loading times. :-/

I've only seen four or five Smith episodes so far, and I think he's just brilliant enough to pull it off, but I won't let myself opine until I've watched a bit more. So far, Tennant is still my favourite. Yah, Eccelston had good plots, but I prefer thinking of the Doctor as the intellectual quasi-pacifist (who just sucks at not indirectly killing his enemies), implying Doctor-isch ethics, instead of the jovial, goofy-looking all-but-action-hero that Eccelston played.

I'm pretty infamous for hating everything, but I have to say I have liked all of the doctors in very different ways. I've had to warm up to a few, but even some of the shorter lived doctors ended up being special to me in one way or another. I think the different seasons of Torchwood, with different production staff has had more negative impact on the story than the changing doctor ever has. There's a charm that has carried over from every season since the few radio pieces I've heard. I wish I knew what the writing staff's single driving line is, because there has to be some cohesive element that has made the character work so well. Have fun?

I honestly always liked 5 and 2 the best.

-I've also always suspected the name "Tennant" was a little too convenient... =_=

It's not even his real name! :P
nope.
