Call it juvenile. It's pretty funny. Cant embed video since I'm on mobile, but you tube it. Discovered this at work today. (my job is boring)

After we got out of work today a co worker and I tried it walking to the employee lot. Totally worked. Much fun.

2 little ****heads did that to me one time just around the corner while I was driving home. Of course, I stopped. I should have just kept on driving because even if there really was a rope or cable it would have ****ed their hands and arms up a lot more than it would have my car.

There is one video where an old man gets out of his car with a shovel and runs after the kids its hilarious. Some of the videos up are lame but there are some good ones

lol

I hadn't considered how I would react but now that you say that, it might not be good. Especially coming around a turn like that, I tend to get jumpy on roads.

the kids in my neighborhood have a joke like that.... its where they wait till you get right by them and they jump out in front of your car
I can't wait for the day schools get the money they need, and the military has to hold bake sales to afford bombs.

I actually first learned about this by witnessing it taking place on the street behind my house. I just happened to be looking out the window late at night, and saw them there. I was quite entertained.
I'm just a little boy.

See... I can't wait for some kid by my house to try to pull that joke off again while I'm driving home one day... I'll just steer the car towards them in a fake effort to avoid the non-existent obsticale. Some kids tried it on me before and I just drove past figuring if it was fish line or some other small string they were holding and that it would be their own downfall. But I really want to scare them next time because sometimes the people infront of me stop and I can't help to stop to avoid the car and not the "invisable" string...

Also... the pedestrian videos are better. Two kids in a mall holding a fake string across a small walkway... watch the people either stop or step over... now that is funny.

These are some of my favorite videos on the internet, they always get me belly laughing. I think it's totally harmless, and I really can't figure out why so many people stop.

It's not harmless if you're driving. You're causing people to stop in the middle of a road for seemingly no reason, which can cause a crash, especially if there's someone behind them not paying attention.
