Finally got myself a new computer...

After a long time struggling with a:

P4 2.8Ghz
2GB RAM
80GB HDD
GeForce 7600 GT Superclocked 512MB
Windows XP SP2

I now have:

Intel Core i7 2600 (3.4Ghz)
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
GeForce 450 GTS 1GB
Windows 7 64Bit

I know my video card sucks, but it plays everything (Crysis, SC2, UT3, Bad Company 2) with max setting at awesome framerates @ 1280x1024 and 1600x1200.

Post if you have recently grabbed a new PC after having a old computer. :v:

I just recently got a new computer after a nearly decade-old computer I was using before, similar to your jump!

I went from a P2 300, to an AMD 4800+, in 2006.
Jumping from Windows 95 to Vista is a hell of a thing, I kept doing weird things like restart before I play a game (To make sure no background programs are running). Since then it's just been incremental.

Oh yeah, I remember when this happened. You went from being the guy who always whined about having a crappy computer to being the guy who always talked about having a good one.
