Which do you like better. Forget about how it may or may not upset your tummy or how you cant dip one or the other in milk.. when it goes into your mouth, which one tastes more awesome?

Subtituting cake mix for cookie dough and cake for cookie, I will say cake mix.

I like them both a lot, but I like cookies slightly more because I don't feel like im going to get sick from food poisoning when I eat them

Since we get to ignore the medical downsides of cookie dough, it is easily the winner.

All you have to do is buy the tubs of cookie dough that every high school sports team sells as a fundraiser. They don't use real eggs, so you won't get food poisoning. It's a win/win.

That's pretty freakin' funny. Cookie Monster needs cookies so bad he'll cook them in a spoon! Cookies ftw!

Anyway, cookie dough, cake mix, bacon grease, they're all guilty pleasures. The finished product is generally better. In my ever so humble opinion, that is.

Bacon grease? Jesus Christ.

Pure bacon grease is an actual... edible thing? I wouldn't even want to try eating pure grease. Of course, it doesn't help that I once had to empty a grease vat at my high school, and I will never look at grease the same way again.

Even I wouldn't eat the grease.
nope.

Bacon grease is basically pure saturated fat, mixed with salt and sulfates. I've used a tiny, tiny amount to fry (when I'm lazy) but actually eating it? ugh.

Personally, I use olive oil for everything, including popcorn.

The oil I use depends on what I'm cooking.

Refined safflower oil is wonderful. No flavor, very little smell, extremely high smoke point so it's really good for popcorn.

Olive oil has a fairly low smoke point and a somewhat-strong flavor. I use it in salad dressings, Italian food in general, breads, etc. Food that isn't going to get to a high temperature, or where the flavor is expected.

Canola oil is complete garbage.

I've been eating raw-egg cookie dough for what..20+ years? Never been poisoned. It's worth the risk. :awesome:

Chocolate chip cookie dough is better IMO than chocolate chip cookies. But other kinds of cookies, not usually better in dough form.
