So basicly, now that I am working and am completely exausted most days with what little freetime I have, fun stuff that I've been aching to do comes up...

Writing: Besides the NeS, I have one friend that wants to start working on a sequel to a certain writing project we just finished and another friend, who upon hearing and reading how the first one came out, that wants to start an entirely new one with just him and I. Plus I still have my noir novel I'm working on.

Filming: The production company my friends and I am a part of has gone through a bit of a dry spell lately. However, since the short film that has been in the works is done now and being shown, there is a new spark of interest in our work. Besides getting another short film writen and shot people want to see more of the series of skits we already have running. This goes with writing too since I'm kind of the writing monkey. Luckily I already have some skits writen but they want a short film. Also, finally making my return to being infront of the cameras. On top of that, a new project. A music video, or two, has come up. More on that some other time. I have to go to work.

Art: One last thing... That music video and the short film... you know who gets to draw up the storyboards? This guy...

Congrats on being so busy! I have a couple projects I'm working on that I hope will be keeping me super busy:

-A friend of mine and I are working on building an Android Gaming company. We're launching our first game next week, but you can see a demo of our first game on our site, www.happymonstergames.com (as well as two other placeholder games).

-I'm looking to start some freelance marketing, so I'm starting to do some research into that.

I also have a couple video/podcast ideas I'm working on.
-One is a weekly parkour podcast (this will be the regular first parkour podcast) where we talk about recent events, give advice, and occasionally have a guest.

-One I came up with this morning was a cooking show. If anyone here knows anything about how I cook...

I'm a lazy *******, but there's a lot I should be doing (not in any particular order)...

- set up my online portfolio/apply for new jobs
- write stuff for novel project
- build NeS wiki-type site
- usual writing/game stuff (like NeS)

Instead of doing any of that, I'll be doing stuff like playing Portal 2. I regret nothing. :ninja:

Man, Lib, I shoulda known the services of someone with talents like yours would be in high demand! Er, writing talents, I mean, not any other "talents" that a pervert might be thinking of... >.>

Hey, maybe I can also interest you in joining another writing project of my own! Working title is "The Day Liberius Snapped and Murdered Al Ciao".

And yes, I too am busy. With stuff. Really! I just can't tell you cause it's classified... :P

Stuff I really am working on:
1. NeS - duh!
2. The Twelve Labors of Mychael Strangefate - space fantasy epic
3. Various for-fun collaborative stories on protagonize.com
4. Reading comics on my NookColor
5. Jacking Geb's pr0n collection--

Oops! Didn't mean to put that last one up. Ignore it! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. These aren't the droids you're looking for...

I've been busy lately as well. I only work about 8 hours each day but I'm also having to sell everything that we own for the big move & that's taking up my evenings (meeting with Craigslist customers, managing Amazon & even having yard sales on the weekends when the weather permits). I'm actually going to stop working a month before we leave because we have so much ****.

Once this Hell Week and the one after it are over, it'll be finals week, which means copious time spent sleeping and playing Dwarf Fortress, along with packing out of my dorm and getting it ship shape for move-out day. Sometime I will probably do a bit of crocheting, writing, music-making, and binge-reading. I'm especially looking forward to the reading; Free bought for me an ancient Asimov anthology for Valentine's Day, and I've been saving it for when I have the sit-down time and energy to read it all in one run.

Asimov rocks! Is a collection of short stories you have or novels?

I've been extremely busy this semester. I'm on a team building a plasma speaker, and it's turning out quite nicely. It would sound very good if we could find a better flyback.

They're short stories. It's THE ASIMOV CHRONICLES - A Landmark Collection of Tales by the All-Time Master of Science Fiction - Volume Two, edited by Martin H. Greenberg, printed in 1989, and as the cover states, FIRST TIME IN PAPERBACK!

The stories in it are 'Evidence,' 'Little Lost Robot,' 'No Connection,' 'The Red Queen's Race,' 'Green Patches,' and '"Breeds there a Man...?"'; 'Green Patches is an especial personal favourite, and I look forward to re-reading it for the first time in a few years. The last chance I've had to sit down and enjoy Asimov was in high school. >_< Waaay too long. Lately I've been subsisting mostly on scattered bits of Bradbury, who is fantastic for a nice undemanding sci-fi fix, but who goes too quickly and has less immediate re-readability.

Eheh... I'm going to stop geeking out now and get cracking on this studio pin-up, before I tempt myself into just reading instead.

That's it? I have The Complete Stories of Asimov (or something like that) Volume One, and it has a few DOZEN of his short stories. Awesome stuff. Most of the stories you mentioned are in there. I never did find Volume Two, so I guess it never got published. :(

My fave Asimov works, however, are his original Foundation Trilogy: Foundation, Foundation and Empire, and Second Foundation. I hope you've read those; otherwise you can't call yourself a real Asimov fan! :P

Only way to avoid this is to post more often. Or to get Kedri to post. Although if that happens the world might explode.

I don't know if we'd get bonus points, but black jokes would definitely be on the rise.

:P It's hardly the only Asimov book I own; it's just a stroke of luck that the others I own don't contain any of those shorts.
I love the Foundation series, but I wouldn't call them my favourites of his works. Also... I'm aware that some fans don't like to acknowledge all parts of the series as being contiguous (similar to Card's "Ender Cycle")... but the full series is Prelude to Foundation, Forward the Foundation, Foundation, Foundation and Empire, Second Foundation, Foundation's Edge, and Foundation and Earth. If you like the best known three of that series, you may enjoy the other four.

As for personal favourites... I'm a short story junkie. :P
Short stories are often where these writers got their start, publishing through Penthouse and similar venues; sometimes the writers keep making shorts during the times between writing longer works. Anthologies of the shorts give an interesting window into the changing methods and views of the writers, as their careers progress.

As for what has me busy now: I'm writing a Pecha Kucha slideshow presentation on one of the chapters of the textbook we use for architecture history class. Funny how time consuming such a little assignment can be; the format requires I include less material than I would for a regular PowerPoint.

Estelore: Cool. Short stories are definitely awesome. Bite-sized pieces of coolness. I have read and enjoyed all the Foundation books, but its the first three published that are my faves. Also, you will note that those three are made up of multiple stories that were collected into a set of three books, whereas the other Foundation books were written as novels.

Btw, good luck with your Powerpoint! :)

Thanks! Right now I'm waiting for my presentation partner to get to studio so we can conference before I finalize the dang thing.

Aside from that- drawings, models, and the standard hullabaloo are due Wednesday for studio. Portfolio of revisions and originals due in elective poetry class.

I have that collection of Asimov's short stories, but haven't got round to reading it yet. It doesn't include The Last Question though, which is a shame because it's excellent.

Asimov and Ellison: never the two should meet. O_O;

The Last Question is one of my favorite Asimov works. Supposedly it was his personal favorite as well.

SO BUSY the last two days! My friend and I launched our first Android game (website: http://www.happymonstergames.com link to the market: https://market.android.com/details?id=happymonster.wikileaks) and I've been doing outreach for that for the past two days. The official Wikileaks twitter account mentioned it (http://twitter.com/#!/wikileaks/status/62906722393665537)! We're probably the only people in history HAPPY that Wikileaks is talking about us...
