A buddy of mine is writing and illustrating a comic about a zombie apocalypse. If he can get some attention on his facebook, he'll get a wider release when it goes to print. So help the guy out and like his facebook page.

I would, but not on Facebook. Liking something results in stupid amounts of status spam that I really don't want. Also might want to warn him on the recent copyright issues with Facebook (wherein anyone can report copyright infringement, and you can't fight back. Instant takedown, no recourse, even if the claim is fraudulent).

Oh, he doesn't blast you with a bunch of crap, so don't worry about that. And I'm pretty sure he's up to speed on copyright stuff... he's been published before, but he's having a hard time with this one. All you really have to do is just click like, and you'll never have to hear about it again.

This isn't typical copyright stuff. The issue with Facebook is, they're taking Facebook pages down for "copyright infringement" even when there is absolutely no infringement. For instance, Ars Technica's Facebook page was taken down for infringement, and they can't even get in contact with Facebook to dispute it. It's a pretty terrible mess going on right now.

Also, keep in mind the "Like" feature puts stuff on your Facebook page no matter what. That's why I don't like it.

No hard feelings, if it was any other service I'd definitely help, but not Facebook.

Which has multiple times resulted in it unhiding. Facebook is terrible.

Hiding a hidden post results in it being unhidden?

No, hiding a post hides it... for an indefinite amount of time that seems to be up to whatever Facebook feels like leaving it as.

Never have had that happen to me.
