I was hoping someone else would make this thread, but I waited a few days and apparently no one cares or watches these shows.

I'm a big SciFi nut, and I thought some of you guys were too... so just wanted to see if you guys share my feelings/thoughts on the Stargate Universe Ending and/or Fringe Finale.
<RANT>
Ok first about Stargate Universe, I know there are alot of Stargate fans here and many have already expressed opinions that could be summed up as something like 'Crappiest Stargate Yet'. Honestly I agree with you, but IMHO it was still good enough to give me the Stargate fix I needed and I am sad to see it go. However the manner in which it ended seemed incredibly crappy to me. The Drones as an enemy reminded me too much of the Replicators from the original series. I was hoping for some sort of victory against the Drones, which atleast made that part of the Galaxy safe for their descendants to grow and prosper. Instead at the ending they stuck to the theme of barely surviving, with no resolution about the deeper mystery Destiny is exploring. Maybe it fit with overall feeling of the show, but as an ending I was disappointed. Now I'm gonna have to find another SciFi show which glorifies the Scientist/Warrior.
There is really only 1 issue I have with the ending of Fringe- and thats JJ Abrams has turned it into LOST (Well thats what it feels like, I don't know if he should be credited for the storyline at this point or not). Most of my frustration deals with the fact they decided to remove 'Peter' from existence completely. The could have come up with a dozen reasons to make him disappear at that point without effecting the entire backstory of both universes. At first I hoped the Observers were simply being unclear with their comment about no one remembering Peter, but:

Apparently it was accurate. It just annoys me that basically we don't know anything about the main characters anymore because the timeline has completely changed.

What were your thoughts about any of this?
