Someone quit or died or got fired or something, so the company I worked for last year called me up this morning. Packing my truck and leaving tomorrow. Should arrive Wednesday.

CRAZY ****.

Bring a jacket?
Got a permanent feather in my cap;
Got a stretch to my stride;
a stroll to my step;

Also, sunlamps (for winter when you get little sun.), and some kind of heavy, light blocking curtains (for the long summer nights) would be a good idea.

Wow, that's nothing. At least in Alaska. Is room and board included? What is your line of work?

Is there anything good that comes out of Alaska anymore? Besides Palin of course.

From a relative in Alaska, I got a ****ing fish in a box. Yes, a FISH mailed though the United States Postal Service, in a damn box.

...people send fish in the mail all the time.

Or maybe yours didn't come packed with dry ice.

Seafood and petro products mostly. Huge source for both vital resources actually. Plus, it seems that I learned somewhere that zombies have a hard time surviving there.

Just got to Prince Rupert, BC. Catching the ferry to Ketchikan tomorrow.

I'm working on a whalewatching/sightseeing boat. Rent is partially covered. Its a fun town to live in either way.

And yes, lots of chicks. Tourism based economy, lots of summer jobs for college students.
