A Game of Thrones

Is anyone else watching this? It's based on George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice & Fire" series. It's ****ing amazing. I'm happy that it's on HBO too because I get to see the cocks, **** & vaginas just like Mr. Martin imagined. Sean Bean (not to be confused with Mr. Bean) from "The Lord of the Rings" is in it as well as the little fella from "The Station Agent" (aka the "elf" from "Elf").

Production quality is top notch, worth watching for that alone. So far I think they've done an incredible job of transferring the books to the screen.

The only things I don't like it about it are exactly the same things I don't like about the book. The incest and sex scenes with 13 year old characters are very offputting, creeped me the **** out when reading the book too.

Say what? I know someone who loves the ice and fire series, and has highly recommended it to me, but he never said anything about THAT.

Of course, there is precedent for it in the Bible. *cough*Lot'sdaughters*cough*

The Old Testament is far more disturbing than anything GRRM has ever written (this includes his earlier work).

They aged everyone up for the show. But disregarding that, if you can't deal with the idea that some characters are supposed to be gross then don't watch it.

So far Dinklage is stealing it.

Also it's not 'A Game of Thrones', the HBO version is just 'Game of Thrones'.

How is a character that's so far been featured in roughly 10% of each episode "Stealing it"? Granted he's doing a fantastic job, but there are other actor's that are mroe deserving of their credit. Sean Bean is doing awesome as Ned Stark, and the Queen and his wife are also amazing actors.

I'm a fan of lena headey so I want to check it out. Don't know anything about the show but I've enjoyed most things she is in. but no tv or internet connection so probably will be a while before I see it.
