New glasses

So today I picked up some new glasses with a new prescription. Holy crap my eyes are not used to actually focusing on stuff. Last time I got mine updated was about 4 years ago. Six months or so ago those pair broke and I had to go back to the set I had from before that, so I've been using 6 year old lenses. I think I'm not used to the sharpness yet and those kind of issues.

Anyone else notice their eyes ended up being hard to focus when switching glasses?

I just got a new pair a few months ago. It had been probably about 6 years since my last new pair. It turned out that my eyesight actually improved.

Yay for perfect vision? I was 20/15 last time I went to the eye doctor. While I do enjoy said vision, I always thought glasses looked cool. Stupid, I know.

Sorta related though, I have had mornings where I wake up, and my eyes refuse to focus. Actually scares me when they do that, although it wears off after a few minutes.

I wear contacts and I'm probably around 20/40 with them. 20/20 with my glasses (which I never wear) because the contacts aren't available in a fine enough prescription adjustment.

Seriously thinking about getting some kind of implantable contact lenses when I start working full time. Less risky than laser correction, removable. Maybe more expensive if my insurance doesn't cover it

I correct to 20/10 with contacts. I need to get some new ones because I'm actually on my last set. Maybe I'll get glasses too. I don't know.

?

I know exactly what you mean. I got a new pair of frames (heres a picture of me wearing them) and got a new prescription at the same time and it was a trip for like three days.

Yep, I've worn glasses since third grade, and every time I get a new prescription (once every year or two, yes, my eyes are that bad and keep deteriorating), I'm tripping out for a few days. I'm just not that used to the sharpness and clarity. I'm currently wearing three-year-old glasses, but I need to go back and get a prescription for new ones. Urgh, but the money...

a few months ago, I finally went to an eye exam for the first time in years and found that I had trouble with the largest slide with my glasses on. Some of the largest letters on the largest slide, no less. My contacts were only slightly better. Needless to say, when I finally got new glasses and contacts, it was weird.

Up to about 3 years ago I had been getting new glasses twice a year or so, stronger prescription each time. I desperately need new glasses but can't afford it! Yay!

my buddy found this site where all you need is your prescription and the glasses with lenses are super cheap. I've seen him get 3-4 pairs from there.

^^ Yep I've purchased prescription sunglasses from them, great site. As soon as I can afford an examination I will be ordering from them.
