It's astonishing how nice some of these look. Most of this sort of thing would be done with flash on a lot of webpages.

That one hurts my eyes, plus I hate sites that over-do the... eh I don't know the term... sliding and stuff. Requiring me to hover over everything to see the options.

It is made even worse by the fact that it doesn't even work on my iPad.

Man, some of those look usable enough but I just can't even attempt to learn HTML or whatever more properly these days. Oh the days of <html><head><title>burgerboys</title></head><body><a href="lol">lol</a></body></html> OMG UNORTHODOX W3C
