Why isn't anyone talking about this? What are you guys? Communists and terrorists?
I adore this movie, much better than Thor and really fun. Steve Rogers is surprisingly one of the most likeable Marvel heroes I have seen and his portrayal by Chris Evans was performed rather well. He brings a sense of earnestness and humbleness that makes you want to root on for his underdog spirit. The relationship he has with Peggy Carter (Haley Atwell) also has some nice chemistry and she's a far better female lead than Jane Foster from Thor.
Hugo Weaving and his forehead played a great villain as always. However, there wasn't much depth to the Red Skull. He's basically your typical "insane mastermind bent on world domination" villain type. Then again, there's not much you can choose from to be the main villain for a WWII era Captain America movie I guess.
Oh the Avengers teaser post credit was nice as well.
7.7/10
SPOILERS
Surprisingly the ending wasn't actually a "happy ending" considering Steve and Carter's relationship never came to fruition, considering Steve's last line and the fact that he didn't exactly seem happy.
