Diablo III

Kirby, the problem is you keep insisting its a single player game. That's not the design for Diablo 3, regardless of what you or I think. If your friend can only play single player games then Diablo 3is not his game, full stop.

I think that's more of an opinion than a rule. Again, we played Diablo 2 single player, so we expected to be able to play Diablo 3 single player and LAN. Because we can't, we're complaining.

Diablo II and III have completely different goals for multiplayer, is the point. If all you want was strictly single player then I would definitely not get it, as you say.

Yea...they could just do the same thing as d2...open and closed modes. Hack filled sp games online.....and normal online only online.

But they won't because of some bizarre and stupid anti-modding ****, the same **** that has been a cancer on the video games industry for the past few years.

Modding added months more to the lifespan of D2 for me. I'm saddened about the online only for this reason.
That's the only reason though. It's not like this is Assassin's Creed 2 where there is no online at all, and yet you're still forced to have a connection. I still think it's a little dickish and, more importantly, a very ineffective way to stop piracy.
You can't judge a book by it's file size
