Kind of surprised this hasn't been posted yet.

neat, but i think almost everyone was already convinced by previous evidence that water did, or at least once did, exist on mars

also, TV in the bedroom isn't healthy

i think this study is trying to make a case for water CURRENTLY being on mars, and in a flowing liquid state.


...a little off topic. there was an ad for this on the same page as the story about water on mars... looks like it has not gone the way of the dodo bird after all!

Because it's always been "we think Mars once had water but now it's just a dry planet." This evidence suggests there might be water flowing on the surface.

We've known the Martian atmosphere was 0.3% water vapor since at least 1980.

Yes and we've also thought that it wasnt possible for liquid water to exist on the surface which is why this is a big deal.
