Aliens was good, I'm sure this can be good.

I don't think one is needed but if Ridley Scott's directing it's got some chances at success. If Vangelis is going to do the soundtrack, then they're even greater. But still.

You technically mean Alien, not Aliens. The latter was directed by James Cameron. Your point still holds, though I can't recall what Ridley Scott has done beyond Gladiator, and I'm too lazy right now to look up imdb.com.

He kind of has the best track record at Blade Runner films...

Blade Runner is too subtle for a modern audience. Whoever replaces Ford will probably have knobs or something this time around, just so you KNOW FOR SURE.

Multiple penises?
nope.

I can see Russell Crowe signing up for this movie. Not sure why there's negative feedback considering I rather have Ridley Scott handle this prequel, sequel, or remake than someone else considering he's great with Sci Fi movies and he did make the original.

Daniel Craig as Deckard.

Yes please.

I would be uncomfortable to see Harrison Ford again. I just start to feel bad for him now.

Feel bad for him in the same way people feel bad when they see old Bill Murray?
nope.
2011-08-19, 8:40 AM #15
Yes, because it's not like Bill Murray has gotten better with age or anything...

No, I just get a little sad when I see him with white hair.
nope.

Ford needs to come back and I'm quite sick of Daniel Craig. I'd vote Christian Bale but with the new Batman coming out I highly doubt that'll happen.

Actually, Kevin Spacey would be excellent for this movie, as a protagonist or antagonist.

Speaking of Christian Bale, I just finished watching "The Fighter" & he's rather excellent in it.
? :)

They should make a Snow Crash movie instead IMO.

Ok just watched Blade Runner last night, it was incredible, I can't believe I had been putting it off all of these years

Harrison Ford is a robot. Just in case you didn't notice.
2011-08-19, 5:52 PM #25
I know, but apparently Harrison Ford doesnt think so
2011-08-19, 7:32 PM #26
I don't know if this is a good idea, but I have the utmost confidence in Ridley Scott. Even his ****ty movies are good.

Highly debatable and a matter of viewer opinion.

Anyone ever play the game?

I nearly did. Might be too late, since supposedly it's unplayable on modern systems. The soundtrack (by Frank Klepacki with the obligatory Vangelis covers) is very good, though.
