Seriously, I think the cost of this movie is enough to buy a third world country....
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

Somehow I dont think those guys were too hard to get...

I like the whole concept, it's just that the more big names you cast, the less time you can actually spend on showing them in action.

-Hoping they do well, though.

They need to cast some of us Massassi nerds in this movie, just to make the action heroes seem even more buff and manly.

I'll volunteer! :D

Until it has Seagal I don't care that much.

I'd read a rumor from the guy who owned the studio where filming was taking place that he was in it, along with JCVD.

-Is that true? No way to be sure, really. We'll just have to see.

Apparently Seagal doesn't get along too well with most of the old school dudes in the movie, including Van Damme, Norris, Arnold, and Lundgren.

Well, Segal doesn't like Norris, but he respects him. I believe he's quoted saying that JCVD is a "gymnast who knows some very basic martial arts"

Yeah, Seagal is pretty full of himself when it comes to other martial arts actors. Then again I wouldn't call Seagal a martial arts actor... I would call him a very talented martial artist who appears in movies.

I read something about Stallone telling a story about a time Seagal and JCVD almost got into a fight int he mid 90s.
nope.

Yeah it was during a party at Stallone's house.

Looks like this has the makings of being a Van Damme good movie!

While we're mentioning action dudes, I saw JCVD last weekend. That was unusual.
nope.

I really enjoyed it. If you really want to see JCVD in a "different" movie, check this out.

I've also heard JCVD tell the story on French television.

JCVD turned down Stallone's offer for the first "Expendables" movie.

Yeah I heard Van Damme said he thought there wasn't a market for that sort of movie anymore. I guess the box office for The Expendables must have changed his mind.

All of this "Expendables" talk makes me nostalgic. I suppose that's what Stallone is aiming for. I must admit that I grew up loving action & even martial-arts films.

Another interesting tidbit about JCVD is that he was the original Predator. He even shot several scenes in costume. The Predator was initially going to be more like a ninja style character doing a lot of kicks & punches. However, JCVD was too small in comparison to the likes of Schwarzenegger & they scrapped him. They wanted someone more intimidating. I personally think that they made the correct decision in that regard.
