DW has become so popular here in the States, I used to know 1 person that liked it, but now it seems like everyone I talk to watches it

it annoys me because they all say "Matt Smith sucks, I only watch David Tennant DW" and all I can think is "You are not a DW fan, you are a David Tennant fan"

David Tennant was great, but the show is based heavily around change, you need to accept, don't become attached, constantly move on

I rank the Doctors in terms of 'favorites' of which, Matt is my least. I equally enjoyed Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant in the new series.

Utterly brilliant. Take out the question mark, and you just answered yourself.

That's stupid. His name isn't 'who', it's 'the doctor'. The show is called 'doctor who' because it's what you say after someone says he's 'the doctor'.

Who said his name WAS Who? The video?

[edit - nevermind I see, JM was complaining about something that doesnt matter]

My wife's become something of a fangirl of the show ever since it came to Netflix. I catch an episode of it with her here and there. Sometimes I whistle the theme song and apparently, at times, it is so dead on that she thinks I just started an episode.

I think Matt Smith is way, way better than Christopher Eccleston was. Tennant was the best thus far though.

I was ready to hate Matt Smith because he looked like a little emo kid in his promo pictures. I was pleasantly surprised; I really like him! Tennant will always be *my* doctor, but Eccleston and Smith did(/are doing) great things with the role as well.
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

I've watched a few episodes from each of the modern seasons. They are good, but I just can't get into the show too much. I will say "Blink" is probably one of my favorites though. (Weeping angels)

I have not watched any of the Doctor Who shows, but I'm thinking I should get into the modern series at some point.

I actually really liked Christopher Eccleston with David Tennant just barely tying but coming in second. Something about Chris' brash attitude appealed to me more than the other doctors.
