Not a "slot" obviously. Does it actually have a name?

I couldn't find anything better than "an open compartment at the bottom" as per Wiki's entry on vending machines, but I'm more interested if there's any special word for it or not... :)

Really only out of boredom. My job doesn't require me to do anything for hours at time. Can opener to pry open opening on the soda machine, and the day time managers arm to reach up machine and grab sodas. Only Dr pepper with this method. Other way you actually have to pay but you can get up to 4 for the price of on.

Candy machine involves a coat hanger.

how do you call it? I'd assume "HERE VENDY VENDY!!! *whistle*" on the plus side, unlike a dog, vending machine gives you treat when it obeys your command!

When I made a skeleton grinder in Minecraft, I labelled the part where you receive the skeleton squeezings a "receptron".
