But guys, it was all because of me that he's banned! No one else wanted him banned! I was just being petty!

(This is what Wookie insists in his monthly email wherein he tries to insult me into unbanning him.)

Other reasons Wookie has insisted that he should be unbanned:

1. He didn't get enough warnings.
2. It's Jon`C's fault/Jon`C is more evil.
3. It was personal between me and him.
4. Other people deserve to be banned more than him (but officer, those other cars were speeding more than me!).
5. I don't know how to run Massassi/I ruined Massassi.
6. He has a lot of friends here.

There's probably more, I mean he's practically written novels in correspondence about this already, but that's close enough. I'm sure I'll receive a strongly worded email from him how some or all of these things are incorrect or misinterpreted.
2011-11-08, 6:29 PM #5
I'm sure he'll use this as an excuse to say he should be unbanned, because if people are still talking about him, it's obvious that he is missed.

So you are not giving away free wookies? I am disappoint.

While the lulz would be funny, that would defeat the purpose of banning him.

Instead, I shall offer funny excerpts:

"You must feel very secure that you have protected Massassi from a massive troll now that there is no effective debate against Jon`C's far left rhetoric. I also am unable to troll Rob's military thread where he has received absurdly incorrect advice. Oh, and you certainly have protected Massassi from me fouling up threads about threesomes. Gosh, you wouldn't want me to post an offensive post in that thread! Way to go, man. Still trying to figure out how I offended you so bad when you never seemed to actually read my posts (your claim as well as proven by context).

Go ahead. I know what comes next.

Have fun presiding over the death throes of Massassi and take solace in knowing you are at least partially responsible for Brian's departure.

Good riddance."
-----------------------

"Really? You're really going to leave me banned for some petty power trip?
You can't possibly be so petty especially considering I've not been as major
a violator of forum rules as other welcomed members.

I've literally eaten the Moldy Crow in my previous email. That, and a good
pun, should be worth something."
------------------------
[my response to that]

"It shouldn't be worth anything. I don't get why you think you're
entitled to being unbanned, discussing being unbanned, or even came up
with the idea that you might be unbanned. Frankly, you're being
childish about the whole thing and I wouldn't want you back if this is
how you act.

There's nothing petty about this. This is no power trip. Christ, it's
just a forum, I'm not the President.

I thought ignoring you would tip you off that the discussion was over
(and honestly never began). Perhaps now it'll click."

-------------------------------
[back to wookie!]
So how much do I have to donate to get unbanned?

I think he thinks you're being petty, but I'm not a doctor.

Death Throes? Massassi is going into the great unknown with peace and dignity. At this point it's comfy in it's death bed watching old simpsons episodes happy with the knowledge that it led a long full life, and waiting for death to take it away.
Also you should unban him just so I can point out that I lasted longer then him and then ban him again.
2011-11-08, 8:52 PM #18
You can't lurk when you're banned? (I wouldn't know)

Not while logged in, no. Nothing stopping him (and he does so) from simply logging out and viewing though.

His latest email apparently cites that he is "relishing in the fact" that Massassi is "speeding to obscurity". And that I someday be cut down to size.

I guess he thinks karma works simply by willing it to be true.

"We live in a world where it is no longer possible for intelligent and hard-working people to succeed in life, because every branch of government and every major business is dominated by blundering, incompetent sociopaths who contribute nothing to society but the institutionalization of their paranoia about being unmasked for the frauds that they are. Our economy and our lives will never improve until these people are removed from power so that the meritorious can take their place." - Jon`C, socialist rhetoric.

"Rich people wouldn't have gotten rich if they didn't deserve it! The rich are really good with money and they know how to get the money where the economy really needs it. That's why we need to give them more money, by cutting their taxes and bailing out Wall Street. Because they're good with money." - Wookie06, acceptable Republican opinion.

P.S. I don't think that Wookie is that bad. He's like a very mild version of my father. Maybe I've become desensitized? Granted, I was busy moving when he got banned & could've missed a few things.
? :)

The problem with Wookie isn't that his opinions are unusually terrible; in fact, they're terrible in possibly the most mundane way possible. The problem with Wookie is that he's a troll.

I don't think he is. Trolls DGAF if they get banned. He's just a terrible, uneducated person.
2011-11-09, 12:23 AM #29
I guess I don't really mean that he's a troll in the sense that he doesn't actually believe the things he writes. It's more an aspect of his personality than a behavior he consciously engages in. He just can't seem to help injecting inflammatory political commentary into any discussion.

I'd agree that Wookie is a troll if it wasn't for the existence of my father. He says the most absurd & indefensible things known to man & he actually believes it. There are people in this world that have beliefs that are so insane, the rest of us are incapable of believing that they're not trolling. These people do tend to have pushing our buttons down to an art though. I suppose that when your beliefs are so offensive, you get a lot of practice at pissing people off & know just how to do it.
? :)

Yeah, but that's because he has absolutely nothing else to talk about; he has no (known) hobbies, no meaningful skills, no formal or informal education on any subject, and the last time he was on this forum his "career" was mopping floors at a public school. His entire intellectual life revolves around watching Fox News and complaining about liberals.

I remember in late 2003 when Brian returned and unbanned everyone. Didn't take long for some (Pugler) to come back and get rebanned and surprisingly it took, what, 1.5 years for MechWarrior to totally **** it up.

I seemingly can't remember any examples of those who got unbanned and remained civil (enough) to be still around. Aside from some of those blujay bans like "<p3> blujay is the hitler of massassi". Hm!

Blujay banned everyone. He was the Hitler of Massassi.

Quote:

1. He got three or four a thread.
2. Joncy is more evil.
3. Contradicts #2
4. I'd say 'as well as' him.
5. Massassi isn't 'ruined', it's old and decayed. After it dies it will be ruined. Coolmatty does ruin things, though.
6. Even the other conservatives hate you, wook.

Thing is Wookie was never actually good for a political argument. Arguing with him about anything is like yelling at a wall to stop being so stupid.
Some people found tyhat entertaining but I found any thread with him in it to be quite pointless and annoying, which wouldn't be so bad if he didn't crap on so many threads.
