Ok, I'll admit it- I'm kind of excited to see the pod race sequence in 3D. And maybe duel of the fates.

Episode 1 has always been my favorite prequel

We all saw episode one and said "it can't get much worse than this"

it did.

But who are we kidding, we are going to see it just because we can, i wish I had the willpower not to, but george has my money

Pass. 3D doesn't interest me and the movie itself was merely ok, not good enough to warrant a second viewing in my opinion.

Attack of the Clones being one of the most horrible movies I've ever seen, by far the worst Star Wars movie.

Far too long, Yoda was made into an action hero, the whole idea of making the Clones/Stormtroopers the same thing just raises too many questions

The list goes on

Well, I will certainly be seeing this. Although I do find the prospect of 3D gungans to be Infuriating.

I believe someone said that regarding the Clone Wars movie here. And I have not, and will not, see that movie. Nor buy the box set or whatever. I think Lucasfilm needs a new project. There doesn't seem to be any sort of creativity that is coming out of that company.

Episode I grinds too often. I guess Jar Jar's tongue can COME OUT OF THE SCREEN this time around.

Yeah... yeah, I'm gonna go see it.

I happen to agree that AotC is in fact worse, but with some better editing could have been cut down into a pretty excellent Star Wars movie. TPM's main problem is it's so different from the other films it feels like a completely different movie dropped into the series, and aside from that and a few questionable casting choices is a pretty solid movie. Speaking of pacing problems, I wonder if they're going to have the extended pod race in the 3d version...

-Anyway, for all their faults, I'm still gonna stick with 'em and watch all these damn movies all over again, because I don't have a 3d TV. And I hope, I hope, I hope against all hope that by the time they get to RotJ they've fixed that damned pop-in problem during the dogfight at the end.

It weirds me out when people make statements about how 'all us nerds' do this and that and 'we're all this or that' at massassi.

Oh. I don't really think it's all that bad. The only thing I really disliked about it was pretty much everything about the way Anakin was handled.

Which wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't the entire point of the prequel trilogy...

They're just like sand! AND I HATE THEM.

Never saw the Clone Wars movie, saw the TV show once while channel surfing for like 30 seconds and I just felt so embarassed to be a Star Wars fan

The Clone Wars cartoon crap is just so EMBARASSING

Not what I grew up worshipping at all, must suck to be growing up with that as Star Wars and not the OT and games like the Dark Forces series

Yeah, thing is, for most of us, no, George Lucas does not have our money. I never saw Attack of the Clones or Revenge of the Sith in theaters, and don't own any of the prequels in any format.

I don't think you can really say "most of us" in that case.

I enjoyed the prequels & I like watching movies in 3D, but not enough to pay to see them again.
? :)
2011-11-17, 3:36 AM #21
I'm OK with the prequels as well, except for Anakin in Ep2 to and Ep3. I think it's more the scriptwriter's fault than Hayden Christensen's that his evolution from good to evil isn't nearly as believable as it could have been, though.

This was one of the most monstrous insults to plots that has ever been seen in a major entertainment release.

I agree with Antony on this one.

So when do they make a 4D version where you get sprayed when Boss Nass does his whole shake the head and throw saliva everywhere thing? I can't wait.

I like to pretend that that trash never happened. I refuse to believe that that was starwars in any way shape or form.

First was my favorite prequel.

After he added the "no" to the blu-rays I have refused to buy anything from lucasfilm ever again.

The only thing I hate about this is I believe Rick McCallum said they wouldn't do each successive movie unless the previous was successful. So to see the OT in 3D the PT will have to be successful. Pains me.

But I'm totally going to see Titanic in 3D.

I'm pretty jaded by Star Wars. I might see it, though I rarely go to the theater any more. And I've only seen two 3D movies before and those were ones I was invited to see with pre-bought tickets. So we'll see. I really just don't care any more.

And honestly if the OT is in 3D it will likely be recent version with Vader screaming "noooo!" Or it will be another version with even more obnoxious changes. I think remembering it will suffice for me until Lucas dies and someone hopefully releases the original version in HD.
My blawgh.

...will the boobs be in 3D?

I actually don't remember much of Titanic. Except the boobs, and the ship sinking.

Apparently the 3d post conversion for Titanic is amazing. Here a few weeks ago a bunch of writers for various magazines and websites were invited to a screening of 18 minutes of Titanic 3d footage, and they all said it's absolutely incredible. Leave it to James Cameron to devote millions of his own dollars to actually do something properly.

So yeah, I assume the boobs will be in 3d too.

The only 3D movie I have seen was Avatar. Are they all done as well as that one was?
"Honey, you got real ugly."
2011-11-17, 10:21 AM #31
not even close
2011-11-17, 10:31 AM #32
Yeah it's really hard to imagine Star Wars being post converted to even remotely the same quality that you saw in Avatar, since Avatar was shot in 3d and conceptualized from minute one as a 3d movie. Also to consider is the fact that (even though I hate to admit this) Lucas has a knack for just half assing things because he knows people will still dish out a ton of money for it.

I will never forget the time that I saw the sound of music in 3D. MAN that was the best. I highly recommend it, it was WAY better than Avatar.

Yeah I figured Avatar was a special case.

Also I love Harold and Kumar but will not be watching this one in 3d or even on the big screen.

Whilst neat, that's not the main reason I'd want to see it.

That said I've only seen one 3d film before and the novelty wore off after about 10 minutes.
nope.
2011-11-17, 12:41 PM #37
I've known you for a while now Boco and the novelty wore off after 5 MINUTES -_-

Yeah but it took you seven years to facebook me apparently.
nope.
2011-11-17, 1:01 PM #39
I own a freaking 3D TV and the novelty for me wore off after a couple of minutes.

(Granted I didn't buy the 3D TV because it was 3D, but rather because it was a really good LCD that also just happened to have 3D as a feature.)
