Please only respond if you have a need/use for these PC's. Santa doesnt play favorites, he picks winners randomly. In your post indicate if your interested in ANY of the PC's or a particular one. Entry deadline sometime on 12-12-11.

Santa's Standard Disclaimer:

These computers are completely free, Santa will even pay for shipping. Santa does have a few restrictions:

1) You must have an 'established' Massassi forum account. If you signed up immediately after seeing this post or have a very low post count, Santa probably will disqualify you.

2) You must live within the Continental United States. Shipping outside of US will cost Santa too much. (This one doesnt make much sense within the Santa premise.)

3) You must not have received a free computer from Santa's Helper (EAH_Triscuit) with the past 365 days. Let's spread the love around.

Santa is only giving away the actual computer tower (The case, and internal components). You will need your own Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, and Speakers. These computers contain used/spare components, so no guarantees or warranties. Some previous giveaways resulted in a DOA computers. :omg: No OS install media included.

I could use one as an HTPC, but if anybody doesn't have a semi-modern functioning desktop, give them priority.
woot!

Any of the three would be much appreciated and very helpful as my current desktop computer is turning 10 soon. Did I mention I've been a very good boy this year?
My blawgh.

I'd be interested in any of the three. I have a friend that's in need of a PC; it would make a good Christmas gift for him, I think. :)

I would really appreciate a computer for my brother who is absolutely poor and he's getting married in a few months. This would make his year, seriously. Please oh please Santa!!
Edit: Any of the three would be great.

I already won one this year so I'm just here to say that EAH_TRISCUIT is the greatest fellow to ever live.
2011-12-06, 11:23 PM #16
Any of the three would be wonderful. My poor computer doesn't have much time left in her and since I lost my job, I have no way to pay for one in the foreseeable future.

I'm not interested in any of these, but I just wanted to say that you're such a nice fellow, Triscuit. :)

Yes. My guess would be in most situations it's probably 25-33% better.

I was brainstorming about how I could be a little more fair and give some holiday love to persons outside the US. I was thinking maybe a steam giveaway where only non-US residents could win but I would be relying on people's good faith since I can't verify their location. Also, I'm not 100% sure on how steam handles Game 'region' issues. I've never had a problem gifting a steam game to someone outside North America, but I wonder if steam handles region version automatically or maybe I've just been lucky.

Isn't it peculiar how when Tris is giving away computers we suddenly have far more active members?

LoL. Vin's donated computer was not part of any giveaway thread, I've always played fair with the giveaway threads. Also, the videocard in Vin's computer was DOA, so a little complaining is understandable. There are other people here at Massassi who have gotten more than one PC from me, but they were spreadout over years.

I think my current rule: 'You must not have received a free computer from Santa's Helper (EAH_Triscuit) with the past 365 days' is fair.

Good Luck.

I don't think there would be any region issues unless an aussie won.

According to the Steam gift FAQ

Quote:
[h=5]My friend is in another country, can they install the game at the same time it is available to me?[/h] Not necessarily. Steam games are tied to the region's release schedule. If another user has a later release date for their country, they will not be able to play their received gift until that time.

Damn, Triscuit... very generous guy here.

If I am picked to win a computer, I'd REALLY love either #1 or #3. I don't have any consoles and my friends just got rigs that can run Battlefield 3. I can't even install it. :nonono:

I'd actually have components capable of running current- to next-gen apps. :p

As always, any of the three.

I'm down to just my netbook these days.

Any of the three look awesome, although I do already have a laptop.

What an awesome thing to do around the holidays. IM curious, how much is it gunna cost you to ship this ****?

Anyhow, i think its ****ed up that you need a disclaimer to give away ****. Not a slight against EAH_Triscuit, but rather a disconcerting realization about mankind. The truth is anyone should be grateful to get anything.

Shipping is usually $30-$50 per PC. The legal disclaimer is more so people know what to expect.
