Come January 1st I'm going to be living in Rochester, NY instead of Minnesnowta. What crap I'm forgetting to do for an across state lines move?

Notify the postal service of your move (can be done online).
Tell your bank(s), insurance, and any other companies you do business with.
Once you actually get settled in your new state, you usually have 60 days to transfer the titles of your vehicles to the new state and get a new license/registration.

One of the things that I'm going nuts about is registering with the state itself. I'm not sure if I 100% want to stay there for long. So I don't want to change everything only to come back 3 months later and need to change back again. That and my car is a PoS which I don't think the NY inspections would like so I'm hesitant about having deal with it switching states.
