I've always believed New Year's resolutions are a bit silly, because if you really want to change something you have some control over, you probably shouldn't wait for an arbitrary date to start doing it. So here's a thread where you can post things that you realistically hope to see happen in 2012, but that you have no (or only nominal) power to make happen.

For my part, I'd like to see Ronald Coase die.
