So, for a number of reasons, I've been considering purchasing a HD video projector. And, this being Massassi, I figured I could get some opinions on which kinds were good, bad, pros and cons not typically known, and so forth.

To start off, I wanted to look into LED-based projectors, since bulb lifespan and cost are typically the biggest downside of projectors, but it seems that a) they only go up to a max of 720p and b) they're not bright at all compared to most other projectors, to the point where it could possibly not be worth it. Do 1080p bright LED projectors even exist? Is it moot due to having significantly lower picture quality than others?

While I did a slightly different search on Google, I got the same results: LED projectors that claim to be 1080p, but actually only "support" it (which I'm guessing meaning upscaling or something as their native resolution is normally 800x600, sometimes as high as the 720p range, and that's if you're lucky and didn't outright lie in their tagging). I may go digging through the one you linked just to be absolutely sure, but yeah, I wouldn't have hit up Massassi if Google didn't fail me.
