I always wondered, the hologram room paneling and the dflt.mat wasn't just a coincidence, right? Like someone on the JK development team intentionally chose that as a Trek fan.

A black and yellow grid does make a certain amount of sense on it's own, but yeah I'm willing to bet it was inspired by TNG.

dflt.mat isn't yellow and black, it's yellow and grey.
