I think I will be buying Bioshock: Infinite for the PC. I've been looking forward to that, assuming they made the gameplay engaging and challenging from the first Bioshock while keeping the engrossing atmosphere. Wait till Steam summer sale?

I could use a good SP game. I don't care for online MP anymore, and if I want online action I go with TF2.

After pondering if I should have bought Bioshock: Infinite on Steam (which would have included a free copy of the latest X-Com game) but I think I'll wait for reports on if the game has an EFF!ng escort mission.

If they keep Elizabeth as capable as Alyx (as in, no need to babysit) in the HL2 episodes, I'm good.

Bioshock 2's gameplay was in every way an improvement on Bioshock 1's. Of course, the plot wasn't as good, but it's still a lot more fun to just pick up and play.

-Infinite looks good, I think I'm getting it for my birthday.

harr. Seriously though, managing inventory in an FPS isn't at all a pacing issue for others? How do you play it "right" Jon`C?

That was my biggest issue Borderlands/2 multiplayer, waiting for other people making inventory changes. Usually I would just run ahead and hope they catchup by the time it gets crazy.

Obviously it's not really an issue for singleplayer, my own time adjusting inventory doesnt annoy me.

You play Borderlands "right" by not being an OCD hoarding autist who needs to A/B test every gun they pick up. Instead just use the equipment with the biggest numbers (the game tells you which ones are better) and if you make a mistake, oops, you'll get a better gun in the next red chest anyway.

Yep, this is the key to making Borderlands fun. Don't overthink if weapon A that you're currently using is worse than weapon B that you just found. Just use whichever one that you think is best from a quick eyeballing of the stats, and use it until you find one that is obviously better than both of them 30 minutes later.

Nah, you find one that fits your playstyle and stick with it until a better one of the same kind comes along. I once had this revolver that fired x3 revolver shots but only had 3 rounds (thankfully, I was a soldier, so I was able to bump that up to 6), I kept that sucker around for ages until I found one with the same effect on it, slightly higher base damage, and 6 rounds.

-Man, now you're making me remember the good times playing Borderlands with my bf and our friends... I should reinstall it sometime, but it's a very grindy game, very exhausting to play on any sort of regular schedule.

I'm a weird case who didn't like Borderlands 2 that much, yet was a total Diablo II fanboy and Torchlight II as well (150 hours played so far). I beat Borderlands 2, but there's no way I'd go back and try another class or do the new game+ mode or whatever. The biggest issue for me is that I hate the spawning mechanics. They're awful. And the level scaling is atrocious. If you thought Oblivion was bad, then stay away from this game. It punishes you for leveling up.

And the advice to just go with the gun with the biggest numbers is laughable. That's a good way to use a crap weapon. The most important properties of weapons are ones you have to look up on the wiki, basically.
