You mean the public face of the US government is really just a big PR machine?

The Massassi forums seem pretty slow lately, but based on the lack of activity in this thread I have to conclude:

All the Massassian's who even had a remote interest in US politics have been banned.

That's not really true. I have a pretty large interest in politics, but I don't lend any credence to this "scandal" at all.

A bunch of bureaucrats and political appointees screwed up royally. "Scandal" is Obama administration hemming and hawing, trying to say everything and nothing at the same time because they don't want to give political ammunition to the Republicans for not being able to control the uncontrollable, sprawling behemoth the Republicans created.

And to think that that fellow Niall Ferguson presumed this to be a good thing....

I was watching The Daily Show where they showed clips of Fox News comparing this to Watergate over and over, and in at least one such clip deciding that Watergate was nothing compared to this.

And I believe them.

I still don't understand why anyone cares about this.

Other than for contrived petty political reasons.

Gotta get up awful early in the morning to make Obama's Department of State look worse than Bush's.

Pretend to care for long enough and Wookie's head'll `splode.

Hey remember back when you weren't a sensible person yet? That has been quite the transformation.

They don't. That's why it takes intensive propaganda to make them care.

My fav manufactured controversy right now is about the IRS persecuting conservative groups.

Like 5000 filthy rich people en masse decided, all in the same tax year, to form non-profit tea party 9/12 groups. Almost like they are abusing a tax loophole so their normal lobbying expenses are magically transformed into a tax-exempt donation.

But that's not why the IRS is investigating them, Obama just hates freedom.

My one true wish is for Obama to use all the **** the GOP built in the Bush years and like, arrest the entire GOP and accuse it of treason.
The most hilarious dictatorship.

Turns out most of them are being investigated because the filled out the forms wrong.
