BTW, whoever mentioned chromecast, don't get your hopes up.
The Chromecast is almost entirely built for streaming video, not for games. The problem is of course, latency. The WebRTC framework it runs on is not low latency by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, just using Tab Casting, there's nearly a full second of lag, which makes anything other than candy crush completely unplayable.
Also keep in mind, Apple's Airplay tech, which is much faster (and of course proprietary) STILL has enough lag to ruin many twitchy games. nVidia is basically the only one making active progress right now in bringing that latency down to manageable levels.
I don't see the point in an Android console in general. However, I do see smartphones replacing consoles wholesale down the line, when their graphical performance is great enough that consoles are no longer necessary. Something like a controller dock would make sense, or a dock by the TV. Drop your phone in the dock, pick up a controller, and have fun. Hell, it'd even be a solid replacement for streaming movies and such. Aka, basically the Xbone. Because why bother with a box that sits next to your TV, continuously growing out of date, when your phone is updated every couple years and goes everywhere you do?
