The Slave I flies into the docking bay of Fort Mohc, an Imperial controlled military post as well
as a production facility for weapons and defence droids.


Followed by two guarding Stormtroopers, the bloated figure of Rom Mohc emerges and walks towards
the ship, which in return opens to reveal Boba Fett, standing proudly next to the weakened body of
Kyle Katarn. Katarn is a state, covered in bruises, scratches and dry mud.


Dragging his prey along, Fett walks towards Mohc.


MOHC: Your noble deeds leave me impressed once again.


Mohc looks down on his opponent and s******s to himself.


MOHC: What about Solo?


FETT: Solo wasn't part of the deal.


MOHC: Yes I know, but what about your alleged rivalry?


FETT: Jabba is one of my top employers...


MOHC: ..and a good bounty hunter doesn't let grudges get in the way of his work.


Mohc turns to the two troopers.


MOHC: I want you to take him down to the Detention Block.


TROOPER 1: Right away Sir.


TROOPER 2: Yes Sir.


The two troopers drag the prisoner away.


MOHC: I had Lord Vader on the signal earlier, my project is back online.


FETT: No interest to me. I've come to collect.


MOHC: Of course, but I'm in a good mood. So I've decided to pay you double. Besides, Bounty Hunters
such as yourself are a rarity. Hopefully we can do business again in the future. Follow me
upstairs.


The troopers are escorting Katarn through a corridor. In his weakened state, he collapses to the
floor.


TROOPER 1: He's fallen, help him up.


TROOPER 2: Right away...


The trooper begins to pace towards Kyle. He turns back to the other trooper.


TROOPER 2: Wait... you're not my C.O.


TROOPER 1: So?


TROOPER 2: So you pick him up.


TROOPER 1: I'm not touching him. That guy is dangerous.


TROPPER 2: Well I'm not touching him either. That guy wiped out the Imperial unit at the Carida
Academy.


TROOPER 1: And he's evaded huge bountys on his head for months... I'm not going anywhere near him.


The two stand there and just look at Kyle on the floor.


TROOPER 2: We can't just leave him there.


TROOPER 1: Good idea... go help him to his feet...


TROOPER 2: I'm not stepping anywhere near him.


TROOPER 1: Well be sure to tell the General that when he finds out. I'm not taking the heat for
this.


TROOPER 2: Maybe I should tell him you were too scared to go pick him up instead.


TROOPER 1: Maybe I should ram my Blaster down your throat.


TROOPER 2: Maybe I should ram my Blaster down yours.


TROOPER 1: Maybe I should stick a Rail Detonator right up your...


TROOPER 2: Wait... where'd he go?


TROOPER 1: Oh... stangshaft!


TROOPER 2: This is all your fault.


TROOPER 1: Me!?


Kyle is hiding in a storage room of some sort. He eventually finds a weapon and kills a load of guards.


An inept Imperial Officer walks into the Office of Rom Mohc.


OFFICER: He's escaped Sir!


MOHC: Who?


OFFICER: The prisoner..


MOHC: Which prisoner? We've got dozens of prisoners....


FETT: Katarn?


OFFICER: Yeah, him...


MOHC: What!? How?


OFFICER: Well according to the to troopers that were guarding him, he suddenly pulled this really
big gun out of nowhere then started shooting all over the place. The troopers returned fire but
Katarn was flipping and dodging all over the place. One of the troopers managed to get him into a
headlock and disarm him... while the other went off for help. Katarn managed to evade the headlock
then he apparently drop-kicked the trooper, but then he managed to get right back up and hand-chop
Katarn to the floor, he thought Katarn had been weakened for good so he was surprised when...


MOHC: Shut up.


Mohc paces back and forth for a few seconds.


MOHC: I want guards at every single possible exit of this installation. Security must be moved up
to red alert, we can't let him escape.


OFFICER: Yes Sir..


The Officer exits.


Mohc turns to Fett.


MOHC: What would you say if I were willing to "triple" your bounty? In exchange for a small deed of
course.


Kyle makes his way to a communications room.


KYLE: Millennium Falcon... do you come in? This is Kyle Katarn... are you there?


Nothing but static comes back through....


KYLE: Chewbacca? Han? Come in...


Still no answer...


Kyle's out of options, he needs help. He's hesitant, but he contacts the Rebel Alliance.


KYLE: This is a distress signal from Kyle Katarn. Calling any Rebel personnel. I am stuck in an
Imperial installation and need immediate evac.


A voice comes through.


VOICE: Who is this?


KYLE: This is Kyle Katarn. I'm not part of the Alliance, but I am trapped at an installation
under the authority of Imperial General Rom Mohc.


VOICE: Rom Mohc? The same installation producing the Rancor army?


KYLE: Rancor army?


VOICE: We need that facility brought down right away.


KYLE: And I need immediate evac.


VOICE: It's too risky to send a team just for one man...


Kyle thinks of something to say.


KYLE: You guys owe me....


VOICE: We owe you [static noise] buddy. We are losing people to noble causes every day. It
is too risky to send a collection team to a fully operational Imperial facility for the sake
of one man.


Kyle pauses for thought.


KYLE: What if I can bring this facility down?


VOICE: We sent a man to that same facility, but we lost contact with him.


KYLE: What's his name?


VOICE: Meekus, Roy-El Meekus...


KYLE: I'll be in touch.


Kyle heads to the detention block and looks at the cell log.


KYLE: He's here, Roy-El Meekus, cell 19.


He heads to cell 19.


KYLE: Roy-El Meekus?


ROY-EL: Yeah?


KYLE: I need your help.


Kyle opens the cell.


ROY-EL: You need my help with what?


KYLE: Blowing this place up.


ROY-EL: Who are you?


KYLE: That's not important. What's important is that if we blow this place, your Rebel friends can get me out of here.


ROY-EL: That's most noble of you. We better hurry. But first, we must release these prisoners.


KYLE: I work alone. Tell me what to do, I'll do it. You take care of the prisoners and call in some transport for us.


ROY-EL: You'll need five charges. Try the armoury, you should be able to find some there.


KYLE: And where do I place them?


ROY-EL: On the bottom floor of the fortress are five large power generators. Place a charge on each, the explosion should be enough to cause the whole
place to topple.


KYLE: Understood. This shouldn't be too hard.


ROY-EL: Good luck, we will meet you on the roof when you're done.


Kyle begins to walk off.


KYLE: Just don't leave without me.

Just come across a DVD-R labelled "ABANDONED EDITING PROJECTS".

This was a right pain to make. A decent video capture facility wasn't available to me at the time, so it was made entirely of rolling screen caps with the audio manually added in later.

I randomly decided to have a playthrough of this old, unfinished project of mine and created a gameplay video for anyone curious enough to see it:

I'm gutted that I never got to finish it, as it was on its way to becoming the best thing I ever made, but at least now people can see what I was trying to achieve.

Bizarrely, the level now has a few game-killing bugs in it that make it impossible to complete. These were definitely not present back in 2004, but have somehow manifested themselves when played on a modern PC with a modern OS. I had to use cheat codes to get through the damned thing.

Big thankings to DAK for his ever-awesome voice work. His valuable contribution to my stuff made it all far more credible.

I so wanted to have DAK voiceact for TODOA. Then he showed up like a few months (or maybe one year) after it was released. BOH!

I can't recommend it to anyone, but finishing my magnum opus projects for JK and DX in July 2008-June 2013 was something I (100% honestly) felt like I was obligated to do for myself, if anything. And I actually had to arrange my life in a sorta weird way to succeed in doing so.

Completely forgot about this...

After I scrapped ToaM3, I started to work on a sequel series in JA called "Rise of a Mercenary". I didn't get very far! I created some textures for it, planned the story and wrote some of the cutscenes. Here's the opening:

FG, you and most everyone at Massassi seemed to atleast set semi-realistic goals for themselves. In my experience, I was always trying to do something that "in theory" was possible, but generally was more easily achievable in other games (and now modern games)...that, and I was always soooooo unfocused back then. I wish I would have accepted my failure much earlier on and focused on more achievable things - but you live you learn.

Before TODOA was released me actually releasing projects was ... well, impossible. But yeah, I guess it's a good sign to realize that certain things just have to go if you want your project to have an actual release (looking at you here, GBK). In TODOA's case, it was all the planned RPG elements and even the city of Apocalopolis. In DXN's case, it was high-quality voice acting. HEYOOOOOO-

Even though I sometimes wonder how things could have turned out if I had learnt a different (more modern) game engine instead*, there's no way I would have made a TODOA or a Nihilum for something else than JK and DX (respectively). ... But maybe somethere in the what-if-o-sphere, the massively popular FastGamerr Half-Life 2 project titled Space Ghost: Source to Source would have already earnt me 7 million dollars. But alas, 'twas not meant to be.

* = Sort of futile to even ponder such things since even in retrospect it would have been impossible as I didn't have a powerful enough machine to edit actually up-to-date modern games at the time
