Successful landing of Philae, probe carried by Rosetta to comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, just now. Because of low gravity, the landing was achieved by harpooning the comet's surface.

Yeah, I was watching the live stream, and that's what I understood too. The thruster meant for landing wasn't working so they had to harpoon it. First it bounced a little, then it stayed down.

But then a couple hours later, the Philae Lander Twitter said this:

"I’m on the surface but my harpoons did not fire. My team is hard at work now trying to determine why. #CometLanding"
