December 2015 has arrived - which by all current means and purposes appears to be last month in Massassi's existence.

So I - as the Spirit of Massassi - will commemorate (almost) every day with a new poll somehow related to Massassi, death, or whatever happens to come up to my mind that day.

Today we start off with some "in your face" pondering. Like Massassi, even Massassians will die some day, but what do you think will be the number one cause of death for Massassians?

Also, there was supposed to be a poll but apparently you have to post one within 5 minutes of starting the thread and I missed the mark. HA!

Probably the same as everyone else in developed nations, so cardiovascular diseases, cancer and infections should be up there. Unless there's a significant decrease of welfare in those nations by the time Massassians are of age and/or medical science advances to a point where the leading causes of death change, perhaps in favor of accidents which are already among the biggest causes anyway.

Of course, for as long as we can't prevent the aging process, accidents won't be at the top since people will eventually die of natural causes, but the longer we live the higher the amount of accidental deaths will climb. Then again, if (or I guess you can say when) we do manage to prolong life by a lot there's also the question of who'll be included among those who get to substantially extend their age.
