I'm having a hard time finding the time and/or motivation to keep up with the forum registration moderation. Any time someone signs up they have to answer a "are you a human" type question, validate their email address, and then wait for me to approve them. To approve, I copy/paste their ip address, then username, then email address into stopforumspam.com to see if anything pops up. If anything pops up I delete (with no email notification) the account. If nothing pops up, I approve the account (and an email gets sent). I'm not entirely sure that once I approve the account it actually works because although I have done dozens of these I don't think I've seen any new people actually post. Also if too many bogus registrations are coming through you can adjust the "are you a human" questions to be more difficult I guess.

Anyway, does anyone want to take over these duties? I think it requires me to make you an admin so I need someone to volunteer or be nominated and then a few other people to vouch for you.

Why not just use their API?

In all seriousness, I'd do it. I probably won't be able to do it daily, but can help every other day. I've been a part of this community for ages, and although I don't post all the time I'd love to help in some capacity.

There's no reason that I couldn't do something like this but I don't think anyone other than Brian would vouch for me and I'm not sure who would vouch for him.
