Photo paper...

I'm wondering if someone here might have some experience in this; I have some photographs that I want to print. They print fine on matte paper but when it comes to glossy photo paper, the darker regions have a terrible noise that is not present in the photo and the colors seem to be all off (warmer than what the photo actually is, maybe a side of effect of the smudging/noise).

I am setting the printer to photo paper, but this doesn't correct the issue. I have scanned and cropped the person out of the photo to show the problem I speak about. That ugly noise is not in the photograph.

EDIT: If it helps, I have an HP Office Jet Pro 8600.

Nothing to see here, move along.

In other words, the ink this printer uses isn't all that compatible with glossy photo paper.

Time to cross Wedding Photographer off the list.

tbh I was planning to post "maybe you should have those photos professionally printed", so that someone else could say "maybe he should have them professionally taken", but y'all had to screw it up, didn't you?

Jon`C, I think I'm starting to develop a man-crush on you. You better be careful or I might invite you to my home.

You guys are *******s.

I'm not normally inclined to be so and certainly not to SF but I did learn when I was a kid that teenage girls are attracted to mean boys. I guess that explains my attraction to Jon`C.

SF_Gold has a predisposition to new career moves like, "Let's all go to Mexico" and "TODAY I AM A HOLLYWOOD FILMOGRAPHER!" He deserves every single sarcastic comment until he actually does something.

I've been photographing & filming social events for a couple of years now, but I NEVER upload any thing where you can identify a client due to the fact that I respect their privacy. This is a common professional practice, is it not?

The original print was scanned and cropped to only show the problem I was having while printing, so you're seeing significantly less than 1/4 of the full picture for the intentional reasons.

If you do want to see what I can do AND be helpful, I have a very rough cut of a spot commercial I'm working on for a client who has gone on vacation (thus development has halted). This is part of series of several small spot commercials for a small resort that is under development. The footage is ungraded and some things we'll be re-shot. I hope you can help me improve.

Sorry, don't know how to play this video :(

Looks sweet. Lingers a bit too long on like weird wall art but looks like a nice place. I'd focus at least as much on anything there is to do while visiting as much as the accommodations, though.

Thanks, I completely agree with you on the wall art, but it probably can't be helped (but maybe pacing could be improved). I should have provided some context: There is a ChupĂcuaro archaeological zone on the grounds. I'm not sure if it was discovered during development, or it was already known and they are developing next to it. For that reason, they are incorporating a native American theme but other than the window art and the wall decor, the cabins don't have any other thematic elements.

This video is supplemental to the cabin section of the website we are developing. The domain at the end takes you to a restaurant that has no affiliation with the resort, however the company is attempting to acquire it from them.

There will be several other short supplemental videos and one long 3 to 4 minute video that shows off the entire range of services offered here. I only wish they had finished all major construction before they decided to commence operations and publicity.

I am also waiting for their final word on the logo before it gets animated in after effects.

The footage looks good. Lots of smooth motion and intriguing shots. Like you've already acknowledged the pacing feels a bit off, though if the music choice is final I would pace your cuts to the beats to help the flow.

Here is a great example of that in action.

What Brian said and in your reply to him you said that you should have given some context. That's what I feel the video is missing but perhaps it is likely to be viewed by someone that already knows the context.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure you expected some sarcastic remarks. That's usually what many of us would get but I generally feel comfortable that if anyone here has some insight that an answer will be given. I was actually interested in the answer to your question.
