According to the photos taken by the ultrasound operator, I'll soon be the proud father of an embarrassed son.

I'm open to suggestions for baby names.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Hey, it's the first thread/post made on these forums in MONTHS that doesn't suck!

Congrats, space_dad. And of course, your child's middle name should be Mike in reference to moi.

Congratulations!

Now what do we do with all the gbk-will-never-find-a-woman jokes lying around?
Sorry for the lousy German

Are the twilight years of Massassi not, like, proceeding to your satisfaction?

GBK, I've got a host of ready-made names to inflict upon my children someday. For your son, I suggest Geoff Bobby Kelvin, unless your real initials are already GBK.

"Geoffrey" has a nice ring to it. >_>

I had a blog. It sucked.

Congratulations papa. Having sons is great; I think every man should have a son and I have sympathy for those who do not.

You definitely need to name him "Seth."
Or Bob Jr.
2018-01-24, 8:45 AM #11
I could go for "Iain".
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

I obviously don't mean that literally; some people should definitely not have children. I mean among those who want and should have a child, having a son is an amazing thing. It's a little picture of yourself, and magnifies your flaws and strengths. It makes you a better man so you can teach him to be a better man. I don't have any daughters so I don't anything about that.]

FGR: Name him "Play TODOA"

Congrats!

As for a name, Kyle, of course.

Err... not sure that's so great. If his first and middle names are Kyle and Katarn and his last name starts with a "k" like his father, "gbk" then he will have very ... unfortunate ... initials.

Congrats gbk.

where do babby come from?

congrats geeb!

what about jon`c as a name just a thought you can thank me later

Congrats, gbk! My wife and I are expecting a daughter in a few months. We've got a huge list of potential names, but since this is our first kid it's a bit daunting naming a person for the rest of their life (unless you suck at naming, and they get it legally changed later.)

Here are some boy names we kind of liked before we found out we were having a girl:
Alan, Kyle, Katarn, Oliver, Rex, Elliot.
My blawgh.

Congrats, dude.

My wife likes "Oliver."

I totally want to name him Kyle Katarn.

Picking baby name is a PITA. I too knocked up my wife recently. We don't know what it is yet (we'll know when it's born in a few weeks). We've selected a girl name, but haven't settled on a boy name. It's very annoying.
2018-01-24, 1:59 PM #24
You can't go wrong with the classics. Better names than trash ones like Sarah Palin's sons Track and Trig.

15 year old study, but a resume with a traditional name was 50% more likely to get a call-back than the same resume with a non-traditional name.
2018-01-24, 3:30 PM #26
I was going to make a stupid joke as usual but I wouldn't be surprised that even a seedy strip club owner would prefer traditional names over Crystal, Fortune, Jade and Destiny.

There's the other aspect of just not saddling your kid with a stupid name.

I feel like you should notify Emon, wherever that guy is in this world, that you in fact procreated.

This is why I gave my kids old, traditional names like Æthelstan and Nebuchadnezzar.

May I suggest that you name him Wesley?

Wow, space_dad, you're in a tight spot!

You can't, in good conscience, deny the possibility of wolfmen. It's irresponsible!

They're pulling **** out of the ocean and, what, that's like, WHAT!?

What the f**k is that?

... Well, anyway, you gotta be careful with your kid.

If you don't look in there, you won't know.

Nobody knows. It's like...

... the Schrödinger's wolfman.

Also? You're not allowed to babysit.
