Have the dates always been in 'Murican mm-dd-yyyy or did we get an update recently? The worst thing is that I can't unsee it.

We always put our months 3/4" away from our years, which is miles apart from how Europeans do it. Since we put in gallons of sweat into lifting pounds of cheeseburger, we often forget the months. Can you Z what I mean?

The thing that annoys me about dates is that Google Sheets doesn't recognize yyyymmdd even if you custom specify the format and Google Calendar doesn't see 0900 as AM versus PM.

13 Feb 2019 is most ergonomic, IMO: it interpolates between letters and numbers so you can leave out spaces, is in ascending order of significant digits, and puts the most important information first.

for file naming, I agree w/ Jon. For a document or drawing titleblock that a human's going to read/review (and where sorting isn't required or related to date), I agree w/ RJ.
